Belle De Jour Fair 2014 “Live It Up” and the BDJ 2015 Journal launch!

Hi Everyone! I’m back! Sorry for the long post intervals. I’ve undergone some heartbreaks and my wallet broke too! Oh if my wallet could only speak!

So lets get the ball rolling! As everyone knows Belle De Jour (BDJ) holds a fair every October for the past few years. It is also when they launch the coming year’s journals. Here are some of the reasons why you should consider going to the next one next year:

• The team will be releasing the coming year’s journals and you get a big discount! 20% off!
• Lots of talks to attend and learn from.
• A ton of things to do like games and activities (wall climbing, zipline, scavenger hunt)
• You’ll get to try various products and services from the sponsors’ booths, and they offer discounts!
• Freebies and lootbags for attendees!

The Live It Up Photobooth is the first thing you’ll see. Great place to take your pics with your fellow Bellas.

This year is one of the best ones I’ve attended. As I’ve attended 5 of their fairs I have learned to arrive before 10am or the start. That way I get to enjoy the booths without falling in line that much, participate more and receive more freebies since some sponsors will have cut-offs.

In order for me to maximize my experience I checked on the sponsors and the booth layout that can be found in the BDJ FB Page. There I was able to see the special things they’ve got to offer like, Stationary sets from the Lenovo Booth, Free Nailart and Haircolor application from the Revlon booth and Hairstyling from both Status Salon and Davines. If you want the day to be a success you MUST have a gameplan! Hahaha and as you’ve guessed, yes I tried everything!

The Pet Express booth gives-out a stub for a gift bag with pet products and vitamins.

The Parisian Booth is crowded because like the previous year, they give out bags, shoes, GCs and other merchandise. Too bad I just got 2 notepads.

Getting my hair done after my Revlon haircoloring. Check my phone out! That’s my cheatsheet of the gameplan I had for the BDJ Fair. Told you I had one! Though I can easily put it on my phone’s notes I opted to stick it at the back of the casing. I save more battery that way.

Leah Salvatierra of the BDJ Team can be seen manning the booth for their different planners and Elite Box. But since I got my planner for free I don’t need to buy one. Also I was told that I can pay for my Elite Box here so I was really surprised when it was given to me on the spot! Yey no need to wait for my package! Woot! The Unboxing will be shown on the next blog entry.

Yes I know forgot to take pics for the Lenovo and Revlon booths. That’s because I enjoyed it too much there. The Lenovo booth was my first stop of the day and I was able to get the stationary set below. And I was like huwaaaat? Mongol now sells ballpens?! Now that’s something!

I have waited for the 2015 BDJ Planner from April. Because that was when I have found out that I won one from the BDJ Survey. So that was a 6 month wait to October but it was worth it. I love their new layout, it is more insteresting, less, bulky and the vouchers are all in one place called “The Perks of a Bella”.

But wait, there’s more! I didn’t just get my 2015 BDJ Planner for FREE but there was also another surprise waiting for me! Once I have opened my “Perks of a Bella” Look what I found!!! That’s me and our team for last year’s fair where we won 1st place for the Scavenger Hunt! This event is really special and this definitely made my day.

Some of the Bellas I’ve met in the previous ones were there too! And we missed some of our friends that were not there. Oh well until the next one right girls?

Joining the BDJ Community for the last few years had been one of my best decisions. Some think of it as “kaartehan” ,”gastos lang” or a waste of time. But attending talks, activities and fairs made me more sociable, made me open to try new things and learn more from the talks and BDJ Soirees.
