I was cleaning my bag when I came across the AVON Voucher I got from the May BDJ Box. It is for a free Belle Underwire Custom Cleavage Dream Bra (Valued at Php 599.00). And on the voucher is an expiry date of June 16, 2014! For the past month I have been meaning to redeem it but it’s difficult since 1. I don’t know where AVON is in Marikina City and 2. I’m mostly sleeping during daytime. But yesterday I thought, I’ll have to activate my Waze App (GPS) and viola correct directions! Yeeeeeeey! I finally got there at the nick of time!
So when I got I immediately went to the customer service area where I wrote my name and bra size. The Avon lady then told that I would not be able to return them if I get my size wrong, before handing me my new pair. (Uh Ohhhh) At first glance I thought, did I get the right size? This bra looks huge! But maybe, just maybe they are correct because I followed the guide they had. Hopefully it would help you too.
The Verdict: As a girl I like pretty things and cute stuff but I’m not the kind who would trade comfort for style. So after having it cleaned I am now wearing it and all I can say is this Belle Underwire Custom Cleavage Dream Bra feels great! I’m not sure if I have been wearing the wrong bra all this time but this one feels like my twins are getting all the support they could. The Belle Underwire Custom Cleavage Dream Bra just feels like a dream! Thank you BDJ Box and Avon for this one!
Hello there! It’s the time of the month again when bellas from all over the archipelago receive their BDJ Box (Belle De Jour Box)! This Month’s Box has the theme “Let The Beauty Begin” which is also an exclusive from the well-known beauty brand Benefit.
Join me in this unboxing and see what is inside! ^-^
And here it is! It seems like some of the last benefit box items are here too. But I also get to see some new ones. Which I think is a good thing…
Now let’s have a look at the individual products.
The Porefessional PRO Balm (Php 1600 for 22ml)
This balm quickly minimize the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother skin. You can apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. It is also translucent and oil-free so it complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Lastly it contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.
My Say: I really like this product. As I have stated above I got one from the last Benefit exclusive box and it is everything that was described.
The Fake Up Concealer (Php 1600 for 3.5g)
This is a hydrating crease-control concealer – with Vitamin E & apple seed extract – hides dark circles & diffuses fine lines for a silky smooth, ultra-natural look. Instantly refreshes your look, diffuses fine lines & hydrates the under-eye area throughout the day. It’s proven to keep skin hydrated for 6 hours!
The Fake Up Concealer is a concealer yes I know, but since I am not one of the patient people who reads the descriptions first before opening a surprise box I thought it was a lipstick! Hahaha go check out the picture abeov. See? I told you so! So when I opened it I tought… ummm this lipstick looks like a lipbalm with a concealer-like core! Who would like to conceal their lips? I just realized my mistake when I read the description. The description sounds too good so I gotta try this!
The Big Easy (Php 2000 for 35ml)
This is said to be BIGGER than BB! For two reasons. First, big easy balances moisture & controls oil. Second, the liquid-to- powder formula melts in like a cream, finishes lightweight & velvety like a powder. It is a balancing complexion perfector that gives light-to-medium natural coverage to even out skintone and conceal imperfections. It contains ingredients known to soothe & comfort the skin and help fight free radicals. Non-comedogenic. Oil-free.
So it is a BB Cream, but is also not a BB Cream because it’s more than a BB Cream. Sounds funny. I’ll let you guys know once I’ve tried this.
They’re Real Mascara (Php 1300 for 8.5ml)
The They’re real Mascara lengthens, curls, volumizes, lifts & separates. The jet black, long-wearing formula won’t smudge or dry out. A specially designed brush reveals lashes you never knew you had!
I haven’t tried this yet but I definitely will. I am a fan of great waterproof mascaras because I like washing my face mid-day to get rid of facial oil. And not having a smudgeproof mascara is a big mistake for people like me since it is very difficult to get rid of mascara stains without a make-up remover on hand.
Lolli Tint (Php 1700 for 12.5ml)
Hello lolli is a candy-orchid tint that treats lips & cheeks to a “pop” of dreamy sweetness. It’s the flirtiest flush you can get from a bottle and it is smudge-proof, smooch-proof color lasts from A.M. to P.M. Talk about stain power!
Benetint (Php 1700 for 12.5ml)
This is Benefit’s original rose-tinted stain is kiss-proof, see-through color for lips & cheeks that lasts for hours. Naturally sheer & sexy on all complexions, it’s innocent yet provocative.Originally created for an exotic dancer in the 1970s, Benetint has soared to cult fave status. It’s loved by celebs, makeup artists and gals around the world. It’s the sexiest flush you can get from a bottle!
The Vouchers! (Brow Waxing and “Make Upper”)
Both are good till the end of July 2014. I think the Make Upper will help me see how the products are best used and which ones are best for my skin type and complexion. As the Brow Wax service well to tell you honestly I never had one! I have always plucked them or had them threaded but never tried having them waxed. So this would be a new experience for me and I guess I’ll tell you guys how it was once I already had.
All-in-all this month’s box is a little bit on the lean side. I’m quite sad because I wasn’t able to get a full-sized product, but I also am quite glad since I have always wanted to try these but everytime I get to go to Mall of Asia and pass by Benefit’s store it is void of customers. And it doesn’t help that I am the kind of customer who likes to shop undisturbed and feel like the sales people are ganging-up on me whenever I shop alone by following me around and offering things I am not interested in. So this may not be the best box, but I think this is a good one.
So for the last six weeks I’ve started going green with my smoothies and so far I’ve been enjoying them a great deal! I have noticed the lack of my food cravings, my dying love for fried food and lesser tolerance to sodas. I’ll be posting more about this soon. ^-^
Hello there! As for my first post, it would be for this awesome event by BDJ Box and Revlon that was just held a few short hours go in Conti’s Greenbelt 2, Makati called “Power Nails”. I was absolutely excited to know that I will be attending the event! Wooot!
As I was excited, I arrived an hour early before the call time! Hahaha and thirty minutes before the start,I entered Conti’s and waited for the registration. I was all smiles and also proud to be one of the first people to arrive so I chose the best seat in the house! When we were seated we were given free reign over the buffet table, and were served snacks of spaghetti, breaded chicken, garlic bread and a choice of lemonade or iced tea.
Once done introductions were done by Leah from the BDJ Team and the spotlight was then passed to our speaker, BDJ’s esteemed Beauty Minister Ms. Nicole Romero.
Before teaching us how to paint our nails, Nicole reminded us of the things we should prepare before doing our nails. She then asked us to Find the Right Nail Shape for our fingers based on these guides.
Nicole also taught us various trends and techniques in creating cute, funky and cool designs!
While listening to the presentation I can’t help but be like, “I want to start and try them all nooow!” And you know what’s tempting?! They gave us lootbags with polishes to use and to take home after! Here’s my lovely set!
So after countless times of putting-on and erasing my nail art I decided on a thick Marble and Gradient Nails.
All-in-all through the tiring adding on, erasing and multiple attempts to nail-art, I enjoyed and loved the event. Thanks BDJ Box and Revlon for making this possible and with this I dedicate my very first blog entry. Till the next event!
